seemingly endless tunnels of red torii gates (about 10,000?). Each gate donated and visibly engraved by businesses and people grateful for their prosperity.

Foxes (Kitsune ) guard the shrine and are found all through out the temple. They're considered to be messengers of the rice gods and hold keys to the rice granary in their mouths.

Omokaruishi = heavy, light rocks
Make a wish. When you pick up the rock, if it feels light- your wish will come true.. This rock was unexpectedly pretty heavy.
