Fushimi Inari Taisha (伏見稲荷大社)

The famous Fushimi Inari Taisha (伏見稲荷大社) - originally dedicated to the rice gods, now symbolizes success and prosperity in business.

like a dream.

seemingly endless tunnels of red torii gates (about 10,000?). Each gate donated and visibly engraved by businesses and people grateful for their prosperity.

Foxes (Kitsune 狐) guard the shrine and are found all through out the temple. They're considered to be messengers of the rice gods and hold keys to the rice granary in their mouths.

Omokaruishi = heavy, light rocks

Make a wish. When you pick up the rock, if it feels light- your wish will come true.. This rock was unexpectedly pretty heavy.

i usually like to think what i would wear on a road trip in a top down convertable across county.. but maybe that should be saved for another post.. road trip wear.. that's more summer inspired. high waisted demin cut offs, strappy sandals, swedish hasbeens clogs, floppy hats, cat eyesunglasses, lace overlayers, underwear was outerwear, mesh, see through layers, floral, etc

I've been seeing these sock clips by SWAN Clothing on etsy on almost everyone on the internet for a while now and i still want them ($45) ! i love garters and thigh highs and these seem like an easy alternative! (those back clips on garters are such a pain sometimes.. just need to work on my flexibility) not to mention they're just as cute/sexy. here are some pics from the shop:
